The Bennet Sisters (and Miss Darcy)
Venus, the queen of our rattery and her handsome consort Squirrel, became parents on February 28. All six beautiful babies are girls and thus we had to name them for the sisters in Pride and Predjudice, one of their human's favorite novels. These little ones are just astoundingly cute and precious - they are playful and fluffy and love to run up and nibble your fingers and hop into your palm for a ride around the room. It's going to be hard to not keep all six!

Georgianna has owned my heart since she first opened her eyes and would totter out of the nest and into my hand. She's a little fluff of dandelion seed.

Miss Jane is forever running, either on her baby rat sized wheel or up the ramps in her cage or over top of her sisters. I'm not sure where she's going in such a hurry, but she sure seems interested in getting somewhere fast.

Kitty is one of our twins and, like her sister, she was one of the biggest babies from birth. Both girls are quite bold and friendly and seem to fear nothing, not even gravity.

Lizzie, like her namesake, is a very independent girl with a mind of her own. She is always one of the first to push her way to the cage door or food dish.

The other half of our pair of twins, Lydia is a sweet, playful girl like her sister and she loves to hop into your hand or your shirtsleeve for a ride around the room.

Mary is our little thinker of the bunch. She likes to hang back a little with mom at first, but once she sizes up a situation, she will then proceed to plow her sisters down to get at the food or petting.
