Russian Dove Harley Dumbo
My beloved Bobbles, the babies produced by the union of Bob (one of the greatest rats I have ever known) and Velma (pretty swell herself) almost ended in tragedy when Velma was unable to nurse. Thankfully, the wonderful folks at Little Whiskers Rattery of Washington had a mom who had just delivered and the most excellent LWRW Beans welcomed the 8 tiny pink bundles of joy and terror into her nest immediately. Though I did not get to enjoy the company of the Bobbles for the first six weeks of their lives, I am making up for lost time by cuddling Bobbi as much as possible and she really does not seem to mind. She's ridiculously soft to the touch and has the most gorgeous delicate little pointed face and slender frame. She looks like a little fairy rat. (Current photos were taken by Renee Page of LWRW.)
